Antelope
Tragelaphus angasii
Shoulder - medium turn to the right
Highveld Taxidermists - South Africa
Considered the most beautiful of the antelope family, this shoulder mount is breathtaking. The nyala is a spiral-horned antelope native to southern Africa. The body length is 135–195cm, and it weighs 55–140kg. The coat is a rusty brown colour in females and juveniles, but grows a dark brown or slate grey, often tinged with blue, in adult males. Females and young males tend to have ten or more white stripes on their sides. Only males have horns which grow 20-30 inches long and have yellow-tips. |
